SPAMMUS is a dedicated in-house company established to support the Mooring Professionals’ Association of Nigeria (MPAON). Legally registered in Nigeria and Togo.

SPAMMUS was licensed in 2024 as an officially approved Mooring Master Service Provider in Togo. Authorized by the Togolese Maritime Authorities, SPAMMUS delivers expert mooring and unmooring services to STS Providers and Clients involved in offshore transshipment operations in Lomé waters.

SPAMMUS was also Licensed in 2024 as a Manning and Crewing Company in accordance with the provision of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency `{`NIMASA`}` Act, 2007 and in fulfilment of the requirements of Reg.1.4; Stand.A1.4 of Maritime Labour Convention, 2006.

SPAMMUS serves as the management umbrella for mooring masters, ensuring their welfare and job security across West Africa and the Gulf of Guinea. Additionally, SPAMMUS offers consultancy services to STS providers and companies seeking expertise in mooring operations.

1. Fenders and Cargo Hoses o Verification of standard conditions and valid test certificates for all equipment. o Compliance with marine and industrial guidelines. o Immediate rejection of any substandard equipment, such as fenders or hoses, until all requirements are met.
2. Equipment Testing and Supervision o Supervision of hose hydrostatic testing to ensure integrity and performance. o Oversight of fenders' safety valve testing to ensure operational safety and compliance.
3. Craft Condition and Crew Experience o Evaluation of crafts’ suitability for deploying mooring equipment. o Rejection or suspension of crafts not meeting the standards for safe lightering operations. o Assessment of crew qualifications and experience to ensure competent operations.
